FTSE Futures Morning Update on 12 December

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,405.00 for up with +0.03% percent or +2.20 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,392.20  with a loss of -0.22% percent or -11.80 point . The DAX Futures are trading at 13,136.50 for up with  +0.11% percent or +15.00 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,574.00 for up with +0.17% percent or +6.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks were set for a positive open on Tuesday following an upbeat session in the US, as investors eye the release of key UK inflation data.

The FTSE 100 was expected to open 16 points higher at 7,469.

The producer price index, consumer price index and retail price index are due at 0930 GMT.

Core prices are also expected to remain unchanged at 2.7%, which if confirmed would increase expectations that the worst is over for headline inflation.

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,453.48 for up with +0.80% percent or  +59.52 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,386.83 with a loss of –0.23% percent or  –12.25 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 13,123.65  with a loss of  –0.23% percent or –30.05 point.

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow are trading at 24,386.03 for up with  +0.23% percent or +56.87 point. The S&P 500 are trading at 2,659.99 for up with +0.32% percent or +8.49 point. The Nasdaq Composite are trading at 6,875.08 for up with +0.51% percent or +35.00 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 22,866.17 with a loss of –0.32% percent or  –72.56 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 28,795.66  with a loss of  –0.58% percent or  –170.89 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,280.81 with a loss of –1.25% percent or  –41.38 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 33,291.65 with a loss of –0.49% percent or  –164.14 point at 12:15 PM.
