FTSE Futures Morning Update on 02 November

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,480.20 for up with +0.55% percent or +40.70 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,505.00 with a loss of  -0.13% percent or -7.00 point . The DAX Futures are trading at 13,431.50 with a loss of -0.24% percent or -32.00 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,683.00 for up with -0.16% percent or -6.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks were little changed in early trade on Thursday as investors braced for what could be the first rate hike by the Bank of England in a decade.

At 0830 BST, the FTSE 100 was flat at 7,487.23, while the pound was steady against the euro at 1.1399 and up 0.2% versus the dollar at 1.3265.

The BoE rate announcement is at 1200 GMT, along with the quarterly inflation report, the minutes from the Monetary Policy Committee meeting and followed by a press conference with Governor Mark Carney 45 minutes later.

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,511.23 for up with +0.31% percent or +23.27 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,507.30 with a loss of –0.13% percent or –6.99 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 13,438.75  with  a loss of –0.20%percent or –26.76 point.

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow are trading at 23,435.01 for up with +0.25% percent or +57.77  point. The S&P 500 are trading at 2,579.36 for up with +0.16% percent or +4.10 point. The Nasdaq Composite are trading at 6,716.53  with a loss of –0.17% percent or –11.14 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 22,539.12 for up with +0.53% percent or +119.04 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 28,518.64  with a loss of –0.26% percent or  –75.42 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,383.31  with a loss of –0.37% percent or –12.60  point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 33,573.22  with a loss of  –0.08% percent or –27.05 point at 12:15 PM.
