FTSE Futures Morning Update on 13 October


The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,512.00 for up with +0.15% percent or +11.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,363.00 for up with +0.08% percent or +4.50 point . The DAX Futures are trading at 12,981.80 for up with  +0.10% percent or +13.30 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,601.0 for up  with +0.14% percent or +5.0 point.


London’s top flight index notched up a fresh record high even as the pound recovered from earlier weakness following comments from the EU’s chief Brexit negotiator, Michel Barnier.

The FTSE 100 was up 0.30% to 7,556.24 by the closing bell alongside gains for the pound of 0.25% against the dollar to 1.3254 and 0.39% versus the euro which was to be found at 1.1194.

Earlier, Sterling had retreated amid ‘market chatter’ that talks between the European Union and UK were floundering, but in later remarks Barnier said that while talks with Britain have reached a “deadlock” over the divorce bill but “decisive progress” could be made by Christmas.



For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,556.24 for up with +0.30% percent or  +22.43 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,360.81 with a loss of –0.03% percent or  –1.60 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 12,982.89 for up with +0.09% percent or  +12.21 point.


For the day the Dow are trading at 22,841.01 with a loss of –0.14% percent or –31.88 point. The S&P 500 are trading at 2,550.93  with a loss of –0.17% percent or  –4.31 point. The Nasdaq Composite are trading at 6,591.51 with  a loss of –0.18% percent or  –12.04 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 21,155.18 for up with +0.96% percent or +200.46 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 28,461.66 for up  with +0.01% percent or  +2.63 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,390.25 for up with  +0.12% percent or  +4.15 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 32,412.50   for up with  +0.72%  percent or +230.28 point at 12:15 PM .
