FTSE Futures Morning Update on 10 October

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,461.80 for up with +0.15% percent or +11.30 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,358.50 for up  with +0.11%  percent or +6.00  point . The DAX Futures are trading at 12,948.20 for up with  +0.07%  percent or +9.70 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,592.00 for up with +0.11% percent or +4.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks ended the day in the red but off their session lows even as the pound bounced back against both the euro and the dollar following last week’s thrashing on the back of political uncertainty.The FTSE 100 closed down 0.20% to 7,507.89, while the pound was up 0.35% against the euro to 1.1179 and 0.53% higher versus the dollar 1.3136.Spreadex analyst Connor Campbell said a lack of real news “seemed to be sterling’s best friend”, allowing the currency to settle last week’s nerves.

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,507.89   with a loss of –0.20% percent or  –14.98  point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,365.83  for up with +0.11% percent or  +5.94 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 12,976.40 for up with +0.16% percent or  +20.46  point.

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow are trading at 22,761.07   with a loss of –0.06% percent or –12.60 point. The S&P 500 are trading at 2,544.73  with a loss of  –0.18% percent or  –4.60 point. The Nasdaq Composite are trading at 6,579.73   with a loss of –0.16% percent or –10.45 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 20,823.51  for up with +0.64% percent or +132.80 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 28,476.78  for up with  +0.53% percent or  +150.19 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,377.98   for up with  +0.11%  percent or  +3.60  point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 31,938.55   for up with  +0.29%  percent or  +91.66 point at 12:15 PM .
