FTSE Futures Morning Update on 27 September

UK PRE MARKET

The FTSE 100 Futures are trading at 7,252.0 for up with +0.14% percent or +10.8 point. The CAC 40 Futures are trading at 5,275.80  for up with +0.19%  percent or +9.80 point . The DAX Futures are trading at 12,662.50  for up with +0.62% percent or +78.00 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures are trading at 3,543.00  for up with  +0.65% percent or +23.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

London stocks were set for a muted open on Wednesday as investors digested the latest comments from Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen and kept an eye on geopolitical news. 

The FTSE 100 was expected to open three points lower at 7,282.

In a speech in Cleveland on Tuesday, Yellen hinted at one more rate hike before the end of the year. Speaking at the National Association for Business Economics, she argued against waiting until inflation had returned to its 2.0% target before tightening policy. She also said that the Fed should be wary of moving too gradually.

For the day the FTSE 100 closed at 7,296.82  for up with +0.15% percent or +11.08 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,276.14  for up with  +0.14% percent or  +7.39 point. Germany’s DAX closed at 12,623.40  for up with  +0.23% percent or +28.59  point.

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow are trading at 22,284.32  with a loss of  –0.05% percent or –11.77 point. The S&P 500 are trading at 2,496.84   for up with +0.01% percent or  +0.18 point. The Nasdaq Composite are trading at 6,380.16 for up  with +0.15% percent or +9.57 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 20,267.05  with a loss of -0.31% percent or 63.14 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 27,642.43  for up with +0.47% percent or  +129.42 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,345.27  for up with + 0.05% percent or  +1.69 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 31,209.39  with  a loss of –1.24%  percent or –390.37 point at 12:15 PM .
